Mother Nature’s Designer Clothes

Nearby capsicums hang from their branches like green bells next to a riot of colourful cosmos flowers.

Outside my front door lays a land of no borders. The inhabitants co-exist together regardless of their outward differences. They grow, expand and harmonize with each other beautifully. Who are these residents? They are the flowers, vegetables and herbs of my garden. I love to grow them mixed together in wild abandonment.

Red, yellow and green stalked spinach grows amongst orange marigolds and purple flowering eggplants. Plentiful green basil surrounds the trunk of a white flowering papaya tree where wild bees fly from flower to flower spreading golden polen. Red strawberries wind amongst the green topped carrot plants. Pink petunias tumble over the edges of one garden spilling down into the one below of green pointy shallots and red salivas. Nearby capsicums hang from their branches like green bells next to a riot of colourful cosmos flowers. Delicate lavender violets hide under the eggplant bushes while showy orange nastursiums boldly burst out amongst the garden residents wherever they can.

Mother Nature wears clothes of such colour and fragrance that she puts our Versaces to shame.
