This is a wonderful and healthy sauce that can be used as a salad dressing, over rice and veggies, as a tofu marinade or simmering sauce.
Ingredients: | |
½ Cup | Tahini (sesame butter) – raw or roasted |
¼ Cup | Tamari (wheat free soy sauce) |
1-2 cloves | Fresh Garlic |
1 small chunk | Ffresh ginger peeled (use amount according to your taste for ginger) |
½ Cup | Fresh lemon juice |
½ Tbsp. | Olive Oil if the sauce is going to be cooked and Flax Oil if uncooked. |
½ tsp. | Spike all purpose seasoning |
2-3 Tbsp. | Honey |
Water to make to desired consistency |
Other ingredients that can be added; vinegar, red pepper flakes, nutritional yeast, or any other spices to give the taste you want. For example this can be a wonderful gravy for Thanksgiving type of meals when rosemary, sage, thyme etc. are added.
Put ginger, garlic and water in the blender and blend on high until liquefied. Then add all other ingredients and blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator. Keeps for 5-7 days.
