Cinnamon basil cookies

Beat 2/3 C butter till light, beat in 1 C sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla, 3 T finely chopped cinn basil (fresh), & 1 T finely chopped lime peel beating till very light & fluffy.

At low speed beat in sifted 2 C flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt. Mix in 1 C pistachios, chopped (i used pecans). Turn out onto floured board, shape into 2 rolls 6-7 inches long, roll in plastic or waxed paper, chill at least 8 hours.

Slice into 1/8 inch slices, bake in preheated oven 375 on ungreased sheet for 8 – 10 min till lightly brown. Cool. Store in airtight container.
